Donde todo comenzó

Todo comenzó en noviembre de 1991, cuando se abrió la primera tienda XLARGE en Vermont Avenue, Los Ángeles. La tienda difundió la cultura urbana de los años 90 desde Los Ángeles hacia el mundo. Fue fundada por Eli Bonerz y Adam Silverman, recién graduados de la Escuela de Arquitectura.

Del workwear al streetwear

Eli ideó el concepto original de la tienda: ‘vender uniformes de trabajadores en una boutique de moda’. Una idea tan única era muy excéntrica a principios de los años 90. De hecho, la tienda XLARGE se convirtió en una de las primeras tiendas de ‘street fashion’ en vender uniformes

Raíces de Los Ángeles, identidad XLARGE

En los años 90, nació en Los Ángeles una nueva cultura urbana; una mezcla de skate y música, diferente a la de Nueva York, donde surgió la cultura hip hop y del graffiti. Eli, Adam y Mike D de Beastie Boys le dieron a la tienda XLARGE una identidad cultural muy fuerte

Del utilitario al streetwear

Una representación de la ropa utilitaria como moda, en lugar de solo ropa cotidiana’, creando un estilo original al fusionar la música, el arte y la cultura del skate. Hoy, XLARGE sigue siendo innovador y pionero en el mundo del streetwear.

El logo "OG"

El logo de XLARGE, con un motivo de gorila, se llama 'OG logo', que significa 'Original Gorilla' y refleja el espíritu de la marca: 'True OG Streetwear'.
